Caring
Houndkit’s first priority is those around him. He has a huge heart, and cares a lot about the thoughts and feelings of his clanmates. All he wants is for everyone to get along and be happy!
Brave
Houndkit loves the stories his elders tell of battles and heroics. He wants to grow up to be a big, strong warrior because he knows it will help those he loves. However, Houndkit knows that bravery is more than just charging into battles; it’s standing up to bullies, walking his littermates through the dark, and doing the right thing even when it seems scary.
Responsible
Even though he’s so little, Houndkit sees himself as someone who takes care of others. He finds joy in helping those around him, and can often be a voice of reason (as long as the hare-brained idea isn’t one of his own creation!) among his peers. He’s also not afraid to claim responsibility for his own mistakes.
Self-Sacrificing
Houndkit will grow up to be a very hard-working cat, and because of this he will do many great things for his clan. But this self-sacrificing nature can also be detrimental, as he cannot expect to be able to take care of anyone if he hasn’t cared for himself.
Sensitive
Even though he tries to be level-headed, Houndkit very easily takes things to heart. He doesn’t like negative words, and it’s easy to fluster him or rile him up with even the friendliest of taunts and teasing.
Competitive
Houndkit loves a good competition, especially when he wins! However, Houndkit can be a little pushy when he wants to turn something into a game, and he doesn’t always understand that other cats may want to take a more relaxed approach to things.
Aggressive
Because Houndkit idolizes the life of a warrior, he often thinks the first answer to issues is a fight. He would never injure his clanmates, and never purposely fight dishonorably by breaking the Warrior Code, but he will have trouble with seeing peaceful alternatives to issues with other clans.
Impatient
When Houndkit wants something, he wants it now! He doesn’t like to wait around when he feels like he can take matters into his own paws.
Condescending
Because Houndkit tries to be an older brother figure, this can sometimes backfire into him seeming like he thinks he knows better than others. He doesn’t understand that some cats don’t want a mentor figure, nor does he realize his own need to learn and grow.
